Job Description

We are looking for a creative, dependable, and social-media-savvy Social Media & Content Assistant/INTERN to help create, edit, organize, and post content for our businesses and brands.

This is an entry-level, student-friendly position that may be ideal for a high school senior or college student interested in social media, marketing, content creation, communications, or business.

Professional experience is not required. We are looking for someone who already enjoys social media, understands what makes content engaging, is comfortable with technology, and can follow a content schedule.

Most work can be completed remotely and around your school or personal schedule. However, applicants must be local to Grenada, MS or the surrounding area because occasional in-person availability will be required to capture photos and videos.

What You’ll Do

Create graphics and social media posts using Canva
Edit Reels, TikToks, and short-form videos using CapCut
Post and cross-post content on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat
Repurpose existing videos, photos, and content into new posts
Use our existing social media calendar and content library
Create a mixture of original, repurposed, and cross-posted content
Edit approximately one personal branding video per week
Write simple captions and assist with content ideas
Use AI tools when appropriate to assist with captions, ideas, and content creation
Schedule and organize social media content
Help maintain consistent posting across multiple business pages
Occasionally attend local events, properties, offices, or businesses to capture photos and video
Keep photos, videos, graphics, and other digital content organized
Complete assigned content by established deadlines

Content Will Include

You may create content for

Real estate and REALTOR® marketing
Rental properties
Real estate education and school programs
Construction and home improvement
Business and entrepreneurship
Events and community activities
Personal branding and lifestyle content

You will have access to an existing content library, social media calendar, photos, videos, templates, and content ideas, so you will not be expected to create everything from scratch.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate

Knows how to use Canva
Knows how to use CapCut or similar video-editing software
Is comfortable using Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat
Understands Reels, Stories, TikToks, short-form video, and social media trends
Is creative and has a good eye for attractive content
Can follow instructions and a content calendar
Is organized and dependable
Communicates well
Can work independently
Meets deadlines without constant reminders
Is comfortable learning and using AI tools
Has a smartphone and reliable internet access
Lives in or near Grenada, MS
Has reliable transportation for occasional in-person content needs

Experience

No professional social media experience is required.

School projects, personal social media pages, Canva designs, TikTok/Reel edits, photography, video editing, or other creative experience may be considered.

We care more about your creativity, reliability, willingness to learn, and what you can create than having years of professional experience.

Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule of up to approximately 2 hours per day.

Most assignments can be completed at a time that works around school, classes, another part-time job, or other responsibilities, as long as content is completed by the required deadline.

This is primarily a remote position, but you must be available occasionally in person in Grenada, MS for content creation.
