Easy IT Support is seeking a paid IT & AI Intern to work with our technical team in the western suburbs of Chicago or Scottsdale, Arizona. This opportunity is open to current students seeking academic credit and recent graduates who want hands-on professional experience.

You will learn how a managed IT services team supports real customers across Microsoft cloud services, cybersecurity, networking, business applications, end-user support, and IT operations. You will also help our team use AI responsibly to improve documentation, research, support workflows, and internal efficiency.

What You’ll Do

------------------

• Assist with remote and onsite technical support under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Help configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows computers, Microsoft 365 services, business applications, networks, and related hardware.
• Document customer systems, technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and completed work.
• Use AI tools to assist with research, ticket summaries, knowledge-base articles, process documentation, and workflow improvement.
• Review and verify AI-generated work for accuracy, security, and relevance before it is used.
• Assist with cybersecurity, software deployment, device setup, backups, and other IT projects.
• Communicate professionally with team members, customers, and vendors.

Required AI Skills

----------------------

• Hands-on experience using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or comparable generative AI platforms.
• Ability to write clear prompts, refine results, and explain the reasoning behind an AI-assisted solution.
• Ability to fact-check AI output and recognize inaccurate, incomplete, or unsupported answers.
• Understanding that confidential customer or company information must not be entered into unapproved AI services.
• Ability to document repeatable AI-assisted workflows and use automation responsibly.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing, recently completed, or preparing to complete a degree or training program in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or a related field.
• Recent graduates seeking practical IT experience are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, computer hardware, Microsoft 365, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Strong communication, customer-service, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
• Curiosity, professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work from our western Chicago suburban or Scottsdale service area and travel to assigned customer locations when needed.
